Advanced IMT Jigs for Coal, Iron Ore and Manganese Ore Jigging

Ingwenya Mineral Tech Pvt Ltd – IMT has designed, manufactured, supplied & commissioned Improved PLC controlled under-bed pulsated Jigs in India.

The Improved IMT Jigs are operating for beneficiating Iron Ore and Manganese Ore.

Through extensive R & D IMT has developed the following type of Jigs which are commissioned and successfully operating at different Plants.

 

MODULAR PLC controlled Under-bed pulsated IMT Jig:

For the first time in the world IMT has introduced Modular concept in Jigging, the first Jig commissioned is for Manganese Ore at Cube Mine & Minerals Ltd, situated at Shivrajpur, ( near Hallol ) in Gujarat. Next to follow is for Iron Ore and Baryte Ore, expected to be commissioned during 1st week of June 2011. Initially the Modular Jig is designed for 50 TPH continuous operation and R & D is on for developing 100 & 150 TPH Module.

It was a challenge, as the Jigging Chamber height has to be reduced, to accommodate the modular concept and IMT engineers through their vast experience in Jigging technology and undergoing through extensive R & D and calculation achieved the success in development of the same.

The first modular Jig commissioned was a complete success as it beneficiated Manganese Ore of feed size +2 – 6mm & +6 – 12/15mm having feed Mn content in the range of 18 – 20% and producing concentrate between 41 – 42% Mn content. The Tailings were having 6 – 8% Mn content. These are Siliceous Mn Ore, having feed silica content around 45%, the yield of Concentrate is around 30%.

 

PLC controlled Under-bed pulsated IMT COMBO JIG:

As we are all aware that feed size fraction plays a great role in Jigging Technology, optimized Size Range being fed to the Jig produces excellent result. With this in mind and through extensive R & D, IMT has developed IMT COMBO JIG for beneficiating Lumps & Fines fraction in a single Jig unit.

The first of its kind has been commissioned at Gidhali ( near Raipur ) at the Plant of Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd for beneficiating Iron Ore Fines of size fraction +1 – 5mm with a capacity of 40 TPH and Iron Ore Lumps +5 – 12mm @ 140 TPH in a single unit of IMT Combo Jig. The Fines Stream having width of 1M and the Lumps Stream having 2M width.

The result thus achieved is encouraging as the Feed Ore Grade around 55 – 56% is producing concentrate having +65% Fe grade and Tailings having Fe content in the range of 26 – 27%, The Concentrate yield is 75%.
